We came to slow down our pace of life, leaving behind “the city too busy to hate” for the artistic community of “Music city” so we could learn to better enjoy the images of God in this world - people! We came to be “discipleship missionaries,” taking the seasoned discipling tools we had learned at our church in Atlanta and sharing them with Nashville in a way that could never be accomplished by emailing a curriculum in a pdf file. We came to be part of a new church plant and help shape its culture and encourage its leadership. We came because we could afford enough land here for Cara to have horses and David to have a front end loader, and for the whole family to have enough woods to get lost in. But most of all we came because we felt that God was calling us to Nashville. For more about our story, select the "Background" tab.

Living Waters is a 90 acre property 35 minutes from downtown Nashville that is owned and managed by our family and made available for the benefit of the Kingdom of God at no charge. There is a house on the property that is home to the family, as well as a cabin that is used by visitors for stays of one to seven days, a barn that is home for five to eight horses, and an RV camper electrical hookup. About a third of the property is pasture available for grazing by horses and for outdoor events like camping, playing sports, and other recreational activity. The remaining 60 acres are pristine Tennessee woodlands with trails, hilltop views, century old structures and a two century old cemetery, springs, creeks, ponds, and waterfalls. See the "About LW" tab for more information about Living Waters.
